First Break Bulk shipment to USA

Meelunie is proud to announce that its first breakbulk shipment of Tapioca starch has been received in New York. With costs for shipping products in containers increasing enormously of late, our team has had to get creative and search for alternatives to secure supply for our US customers. Transporting such a large volume in one go proved a great success.

A lack of positive role models is the status quo for many children here. Bekim Mehovic is a volunteer and assists them to reach their goals of becoming the best versions of themselves.

How fava beans could become the next big thing in plant protein.

“Fava is a plentiful protein source and a good fit for today’s products… When extruded, fava bean protein has a bit of extra firmness — good for enhancing textures of plant-based meat analogs”,  Gijs van Elst, director of health ingredients at global plant-based ingredient company Meelunie explains. Meelunie is also working on a soluble fava protein isolate that could be used to enhance protein in beverages without bulking them up.
