This year, 2017, it was 150 years since Pieter Glasz first put his hulling mill in Joure into operation. Over time, we´ ve developed the best methods for managing high-quality starches, plant based proteins and other (organic) ingredients, becoming key global supplier in more than 80 countries. Today we celebrate our 150th anniversary.
New corporate identity
On November 25, a select group of guests was invited to join us during a day full of festivities and events. The program started with an informal lunch, followed by a symposium hosted by our own CEO Marco Heering. He welcomed several speakers and artists for presentations, performances and discussions.
During this one hour event he proudly presented our brand new corporate identity as well, including new colours and logo. Three crosses are added as well: they celebrate Amsterdam, represent a tribute to our Windmill brand and finally they symbolize how Meelunie multiplies its value to its customers.

And then it was time to enjoy the highlights of Amsterdam by night! Starting of with a canal tour, the group brought a visit to the Van Gogh museum which included a walking dinner. Final stop was at The Loft in the A ’dam Tower for an informal but spectacular party with a view over the Amsterdam Skyline.
Cheers to another 50 years for the next millenium!
